Had a great time at Ashway this past Saturday, the new motor (we built) held together and though its a little tight with all the new parts, it ran really good and I can't wait to run it again.

There wasn't many Stockers there so they combined the Stock Classes, we didn't have the weight to add (to make the combined class), so we decided to race with Travis in the Clone Class. Travis is also on the Stout Racing Team and he helped us out a bunch on our chassis setup, it was fun and I hope race with him again.

Well, I think our season is done unless the weather stays really nice over the next few weekends...

I'd like to thank my Sponsors for all the help this season, I hope you'll continue your support through the 2010 racing season too.

Thanks again !

We rebuilt the flathead motor last weekend for Stock Lite (bored .010" over, new piston and rings, new rod bearings, new crank and bearing, changed the cam, ignition timimg, and carb), wish we could be at Ashway this Saturday because it seems like forever, but we'll be racing Ashway next Saturday (November 21st).

Not much to say about the last TDKA race, I got wrecked in the second practice and after getting the body repaired and aligning the front end, the kart worked better than it has all year. We need to take some camber out of the FR and I should pick up a little more speed next time I hit the track. Not sure when that next time will be, I've got a band compitition this Saturday so I'll have to miss the last TDKA race. Might get to run one or two regular races before the end of the season (w/ the Gold Plate), next season I'm moving up to Animal 350 (w/ the UltraMax) and Raptor 330 (w/ the Beast), can't wait to finally run without a restrictor plate !

September 11th, 2009

Looking forward to the TDKA race this weekend, hope to run as good or better as my last visit to Ashway, we might even run the regular race too after the TDKA too. I'd like to thank the Karting Insider for picking me as the Spotlight Driver for the month of September, you can check out the page until the end of this month: www.kartinginsider.com/spotlight.htm

While on the scales this Sunday afternoon, we decided to check the caster on both sides. Seems our caster has been off, not sure how lnog it has been like this, but it will be on our weekly check list. Now with the chassis back to factory I can't wait to get back out there on the track again. I get to visit Ashway Speedway once before the TDKA visits there on their next points race, hope to get it dialed in just a bit more before the season ends.

I really had a rough time during the TDKA with trying to use soft tires on a dry-slick track, we are going to get a harder set ready before the next TDKA race. I really want to thank Mr. Dunn for spending the time with me and my Dad talking about tires, I think my Dad learned more Saturday about tire pressures, prep, and conditioning since we started racing, we'll be more prepared for the next race.

July 12th, 2009

Had a great time last night, the track was great, the new setup worked well, can't wait to run the TDKA !

June 21th, 2009

There was no other Gold Plates at Ashway on Saturday, so I ran with Stock Med class. I qualified 4th of 6 and in the Heat race I spun out with another driver, he wasn't very happy and even got out of his kart (on the track) to express it to me... I'm not racing anymore Stock classes this season !

June 17th, 2009

I forgot to post about Manchester, we had a great time there, the track was egg shaped and about half the size of Ashway. We set the kart up serveral times (with the help of Travis Humphrey) and finally got it dialed in for the Qualify, felt good but I was a little off on the gear. Though we didn't put enough gear on for the Feature, the kart tightened up too much to go any faster. I hope to placed better next time were down there in August cause it was a fun track to drive, lots of G force on the lower end of the track, might need a helmet strap next time too..

June 7th, 2009

We dropped the kart off the stand on the way to the grid for the Heat Race (because we were really late) and cracked the oil drain, which I didn't know until there was two laps left and it decided to break completely off off and cover the kart (and my tires) with oil. We managed to tap the drain and get a new bolt to fit it and we made the Feature and did really good, the kart handled better than it has all season, now we just have to fix the oil drain before next weekend (TDKA at Manchester).

June 5th, 2009

Looking forward to racing at Ashway this Saturday, hope to get the kart tuned-in for the TDKA down in Manchester next Saturday...

I hope my friends that are running the Points race at Dumblin Valley this Saturday have a safe and fun time...

May 21st, 2009

Had a good time at the TDKA race this past Saturday, missed on the gear and the kart was way too loose, placed 5th out of 6th in the Feature.

Looking forward to hitting Manchester for the next TDKA race, never been there so I hope to get some good practice in before the Qualifying.

Not racing this Saturday, going to a wedding, but I hope to hit the track at Ashway next...

May 10th, 2009

After six weeks of not racing, we really had a great time at Dumplin Valley on Saturday (May 8th).

Figured out what gear we need to be on at what chassis setup to go with for the TDKA race this Saturday at Dumplin Valley.

March 30th, 2009

Had a great time at Ashway Speedway on Sunday (March 29th)

There wasn't any other Gold Plates so I got to run with the Adult Stock Lite/Med Class. Ran my fastest lap time ever (for Ashway Speedway) during the Heat Race, 14.82 seconds, just a little over 60 MPH average speed...

My karts still have room for a few more Sponsor decals.

March 20th, 2009

Everything is loaded and ready to go...

I'm glad we get to hit the track this Saturday ! ! !

My karts still have room for a few more Sponsor decals.

March 16th, 2009

On March 15th (Sunday) we fired up the new Animal motor on the UltraMax Chassis. We made a video and posted it on YouTube and linked it to my Videos page...

We're going to work on the Phantom chassis this week, the Jimmy Glenn motor has been reworked into a stocker (pulled the restrictor plate, changed valve springs and changed the ignition timing) so my Dad can run some practice laps too. He might even run a few races once we get my kart tuned up for the Points Races...

In the next few weeks, we're going to work on the old Beast Widebody (streight rail) chassis. We finally bought some new parts to replace the ones we needed for the Phantom last season (rear axle, front spindles, steering linkage, and hubs), I really like this kart (it being my first one too) and it would be great to have it race ready again. We still have all the setup information for it too and the Cool Bore motor still has a little life left in it too, might let my cousin and friends take it out for some practice laps with a Blue Plate on it...

Should be racing this weekend at Ashway Speedway, check back next week to see my results and hopefully a video of the Feature Race too...

Santa showed up early this year with a
new Animal (2009 WKA Gold Plate) motor.

Now I really can't wait for next season to get started...

November 20th, 2008
